Web Content Administrator

ByPlus is looking for a Web Content Administrator to join our client’s team on a permanent basis.

POSITION SUMMARY

Working under the Web Content Manage, the Web Content Administrator will create, gather, review, edit and publish compelling and strategic content on the web site. The position will help define and enforce web content standards, utilizing the company brand, and will interface closely with the Web Content Manager, Web Developer/Designer and other members of the Digital Communications Unit.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree plus experience writing and editing specifically for the web and coordinating, editing, and publishing the work of other content contributors; or equivalent combination of education and experience such as Digital Marketing, communications or related field.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizing, writing, editing, and publishing effective web content; information architecture; search-engine optimization; social media; web content management; and web analytics.
  • Ability to use web-based tools effectively and powerfully in support of the company mission and values.
  • Knowledge of image editing software to size, crop, and optimize images for the web.
  • Knowledge of WordPress Adobe Acrobat to create and optimize PDF files.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and web content management tools quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, to work collaboratively with diverse populations and to provide one-on-one and group training for web editors.
  • Flexibility, energy and creative-problem solving skills are required to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Website design/maintenance

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS    

  • Works with Web Team and management to research, write, edit, proof, approve, and publish original web content for web pages and blogs.
  • Implements web content standards to ensure consistency in style, tone, and overall quality of the company’s web content for specific clients.
  • Constructs and manages production schedules for web page content with content providers and other company stakeholders.
  • Manages news and events postings and calendar functions on the website.
  • Participates in project teams comprised of technical and non-technical team members.
  • Monitors web site regularly and proactively assists clients by identifying and resolving issues.
